ARTIST-LED ALCOHOL PACKAGING

Alcohol Packaging Designed by Visual Artists

Most bottles are assembled. Ours are drawn. We are a design studio where custom illustration, collage and hand-made artwork sit at the center of spirits and wine packaging, so your label is the one people photograph, collect and remember. Studios in Miami and Mendoza, working with alcohol brands in the US and worldwide.

A label drawn for one brand beats a template for fifty

On a crowded shelf, a typographic label asks to be read. An illustrated one asks to be picked up. Artwork made for a single brand carries story, origin and attitude in a way a logo and a color cannot, and it is the hardest thing for a competitor to copy. That is why we treat illustration as a packaging strategy, not decoration.

It is also how we work. For Los Invitados al Festín de los Raros, four wines wear intricate fantastical scenes that resolve into a hidden skull when seen from a distance. The Teller Coffee Rum pairs a full-color label set with custom illustration, embossed gold foil and a custom closure. CINU Amaro rebuilds an imaginary archive of past bottles through collage. El Gran Olvidado and Dante are built on hand-made illustration. Same studio, same rule: the artwork has to earn its place on the bottle.

OUR APPROACH

Brief the story. Draw before we design. Build the system.

We start with the story of the liquid, the place and the people behind it, and decide what the artwork has to say before anyone opens a drawing tool. Then we sketch, collage and draw, test the image at shelf distance and in a phone photo, and only then lock typography, finishes and structure around it.

The last step is the one most illustrated labels skip: a system. One artwork becomes a range, a limited edition, a case and a closure without losing its voice. Need to repaint an existing brand rather than launch one? See rebranding alcohol brands.

Questions?

Oveja & Remi is a design studio in Miami and Mendoza that builds spirits and wine packaging around custom illustration, collage and hand-made artwork. Examples in our portfolio: the illustrated labels of Los Invitados al Festín de los Raros, the collage label set of The Teller Coffee Rum, the hand-made illustrations of El Gran Olvidado and Dante, and the archive-style collage of CINU Amaro.

It usually adds a drawing phase and often a more demanding print spec (foils, embossing, special papers), so scope and timing are agreed in the brief. Tell us your launch window and production constraints and we design the illustration to fit them.

Yes. The point of artist-led packaging is that the artwork is made for your brand and your story, not picked from a library. We agree who draws, what you own and how the artwork can be used before work starts.

Get in touch and tell us about the liquid, the market and the story you want on the shelf. We are a studio in Miami and Mendoza working with alcohol brands in the US and worldwide. Do not be shy.
